Synopsis
The episode begins as Ness, Paula and Jeff arrive in Fourside. While exploring the town, they find a sign with many messages scratched out like "Meeting in progress for Earthbound 2" and "Meeting in progress for Mother 3 localization" as well as the single message not scratched out saying something related to the Mother 3 Fan translation. They then notice the Monotoli Building which Ness mistakes for the "Monopoly Building". As they go inside the building, they meet up with the receptionist, Gertrude. Gertrude then proceeds to explain that the Monotoli Building is where the mayor of Fourside resides and floor 2 to 46 are off-limit because of many brutal murders that happened on those floors. Ness, Paula and Jeff then takes the elevator to the 47th floor but are kicked out at the 22nd floor by the elevator operator, Beatrice, as she got ticked off by Jeff staring at her hips. After noticing the huge amount of blood everywhere on the floor, they then take the stairs to reach the 47th floor. They arrive however on the 46th floor. They notice someone going into a room and follows only to find an even more bloody room. The woman, Electra, is the maid of the building and explains them that they need to go up a floor to reach Pokey's office. Ness is surprised by the mention of Pokey but they proceed to the 47th floor.
They get stopped by a bodyguard but he then lets them pass. As they reach Pokey's office door, they meet up with Aloysius Minch, Pokey's dad. He explains to Ness that Pokey and him are working for Monotoli. Ness, Paula and Jeff then proceed into Pokey's office. After Pokey and Ness converses, Pokey sends his two bodyguards, Samuel and Jackson, to expel them out of the office. However, they fail to notice Jeff. Pokey has a conversation with his bodyguards as he finally notices Jeff and orders him to leave. Ness asks Jeff why was he still in the office. Jeff explains nobody loves him. At the very same moment, Ness' phone start ringing. Tony is on the other side of the line, wanting to talk to Jeff. After a failed attempt of convince him Jeff was not around, Jeff quickly ends the call. The three then head back down the building by their own way.
Back in Fourside, Paula notices the Runaway Five are playing at the Topolla Theater. As Ness buys a ticket and get in with Paula and Jeff, they meet up with Trisha, now owner of the Topolla Theater that she received from her dad as a present. She then explains to them that the Runaway Five are once again stuck with a huge debt until she notices Ness which she reacts in a way that reveals she has a crush on him. Paula, shocked, heads to the show with the boys as Trisha says bye to Ness. They then get invited into the Runaway Five's lounge and talks with Lucky. After a talk about their current situation, Ness, Paula and Jeff leaves the lounge to enjoy the show.
