Synopsis

The story resumes as the Chosen Four make their back through the Cave of the Plot Device. They then encounter Thunder & Storm which weren't actually defeated and were completly forgotten when Paula made the explosion. While Thunder & Storm starts arguing at eachothers again, the Chosen Four give them the slip. Back in Dalaam, Ness, Jeff and Poo are ready to move on to Scaraba but Paula objects again. However, this time Ness steps in and tells her to stop annoying them with it and they're going to Scaraba anyway. As they're about to teleport to Scaraba, the boys starts singing Whirr Jam to spite Paula's lack of teleportation powers.

After arriving to Scaraba, the Chosen Four heads into the marketplace. They speak with the owner of the Snake Shop. As he shows his wares, Poo seems interested in the Snake Rope, Ness tells him that it's not for him and it probably will come to use in about 10 years. Before they leave, the Snake Shop Owner asks them to confirm the name of the player which Poo does.

The Chosen Four head out to the Scaraba Desert. On the way to the pyramids, they encounter a Great Crested Booka which they defeat. As they arrive to the Sphinx, they examine the plans of the dance they need to do in order to open the pyramid. Paula then notices that only one person dances in the plans. Ness then proposes that Jeff should be the one that should do the dance. Jeff reluctantly agrees and proceeds with the dance in which the Wes dance music starts playing in the background.

Cultural References

  • "That Rope Snake looks like it could come in really handy." The Rope Snake is an item in Earthbound's Japan only sequel, Mother 3. Ness comments that it will be useful in 10 years or so. This is referencing the fact that there were at least 10 years between the release of Mother 2 and 3.
  • The song Jeff dances to is "Open Sesame Tofu Oil!" From the Mother 3 OST.
