Five Dollar Foot Long was the ninth episode of the third season of Fobbies are Borange, making it Episode 33. Storywise it went Dungeon Man in the party to arrival in Deep Darkness. This is one of the first episodes headed by Martin Tovar.
The episode name is a reference to Subway's 2008 series of commercials and advertising for foot-long subs for five dollars. The episode is titled this because the group rides in a submarine during this episode.

Synopsis
The story begins in Scaraba Desert with Dungeon Man following the party. As Ness is still annoyed to have not gotten a second go at the 'Return Hole', they notice Dungeon Man is following them. They then try to lose him but ends up trapping him in-between palm trees. As they walk away from a saddened Dungeon Man, they reach the ocean at the end of the Scaraba Desert. Ness believes their journey is over but Paula and Jeff tries to find a way to get across. They then encounter another native who tells them that a giant, referring to Dungeon Man, might be in possession of something that might allow them to cross. As Paula attempts to cheer up Dungeon Man, she asks him if he had something that might help them. He then remembers he once ate a 'sub'.
Once back inside Dungeon Man, Ness and Paula have an argument and Paula goes a different way than them. Now enjoying silence, the two continues their way until they find the submarine Dungeon Man was speaking about. As they bring it outside, Jeff notices Paula is still inside. Ness sighs as Jeff had to mention it. Paula shows up, telling that while they worked on the submarine, she obtained her degree in nursing from the University of Dungeon Man's Innards Tech along with some celebration, all during 2 minutes. The three then get inside the submarine and Paula takes the control only to end up crashing the submarine on the bottom of the sea.
As they are trapped in the submarine in the bottom of the sea, Paula starts checking the list of stuff she wanted to accomplish before dying. Her first topic is quit smoking but put a check on it. As she is about to do the second topic, confessing her feelings to Ness, Ness has an idea which makes Paula back out. Ness proposes to Jeff to use his Multi-Bottle Rockets to blow up the submarine and make their way back to the surface. Despite Paula prefering to die by suffocation than by the hands of Jeff, she still wants to take the gamble. As Jeff blows up Multi-Bottle Rockets at the submarine, they manage to reach the surface of Deep Darkness. Once safe and sound, they notice they are unable to see anything around. Ness demands the Hawk Eye from Paula but since Poo has it, they are unable to go anywhere and blame Paula for it. Angered of being blamed for everything, she tries PSI Thunder γ on Ness. However, Ness's Franklin Badge reflects the lightnings and Paula dies from her own lightnings.

This episode had to begin twice because Stephen Georg couldn't find his script, forcing Martin Tovar and Benjamin Carignan to improvise. The first attempt was listed as a bonus in the Fobbies are Borange forum thread, under the name "Ness Has ADD".
