Episode 36 - Dad, You're Scaring Me
From FaBWiki
Dad, You're Scaring Me was the twelfth episode season finale of the third season of Fobbies are Borange, making it Episode 36. Storywise it went from getting a call from Apple Kid to arrival in Starman Base. It also covers the events of the game before Episode 1 - Go Into My Hole, which were everything from the beginning to aquiring the Sound Stone.
It also created a couple of plot holes, since in Episode 1, Ness said King came with him to the meteorite, which King did not. He also never went to store the Sound Stone, which would ultimately lead to the major event in Episode 3 - Ness The Exterminator. It is assumed that this and other plot hole-like events did occur but were not "announced" (meaning they happened even though it didn't appear on FaB).
The episode title is from the improvised line in the episode by Stephen Georg. After Benjamin Carignan mixed up some files sent in by Reid Young, Ness' father began repeating the same lines over and over (this was not planned). Stephen played along with it, and said "dad, you're scaring me."

Synopsis
The episode begins where the previous one left off. Ness attempts to regain contact with Apple Kid but can't. Believing it might have been a wrong number, he returns to the discussion with the group about what to do next. As they ask for a sign to occur, Ness receives another phone call. Orange Kid is on the line this time, mistaking Ness for Tommy. Orange Kid is looking for Apple Kid because he wants the Book of Overcoming Shyness. However, Ness is unable to remember Orange Kid. Orange Kid, still thinking it's Tommy, starts up a song about himself. Ness then hangs up on Orange Kid.
Using Jeff's hunch (or probably the Player's Guide), they teleport back to Winters. While Paula and Poo complain about the cold, they meet up with Tony who hasn't left since their meeting in episode 20. They leave tony behind and proceed down to the Tessie Watchers Club's camp. As Jeff explains what is Tessie, Ness concludes that he wants to either eat it or ride it. As they spot Tessie, Ness decides to ride it because it's too big to kill. As they ride across the lake, Poo attempts to sing but Paula stops him. As Paula starts thinking that they could get across the lake, they get off the southern shore. They then proceed through the caves leading to Dr. Andonuts lab while recalling the adventure at the Rainy Circle. Before arriving to the lab, they notice the cavemen hanging near Stonehedge. Inside the lab, Dr. Andonuts seems unhappy to see Jeff and his friends. As Jeff inquires about the Stonehedge base, Dr. Andonuts mentions the Eraser statue. Paula then mentions that she found the Eraser Eraser outside from a frozen mouse. As they left, Dr. Andonuts' caveman assistant offers them beef jerky. Once inside the base, they use the Eraser Eraser to open the way. They then notices the Starmen. As Ness watches them, he recalls the events that happened before episode 1.
The flashback begins with the intro song playing. Ness is asleep in his room when a meteor crashes nearby. Scared, Ness looks in his room and meet up with Tracy and his mom. Ness' mom then sends him to find out what was the ruckus. As she suggests him to get out of his pyjamas, he declines and leave. Once outside, he talks to someone nearby to find out what happened. He answers him that a meteorite crashed atop the hill and he wants to be the first one to see it despite running in place. Ness then goes further atop and meet up with a police officer. After a discussion about what's happening tonight and children in general, Ness goes closer to the landing side, he get stopped by Pokey. Pokey sends him away back home and promises to tell him all about it the next day. On his way back down, he meets up with Lier X. Agerate. After talking about his garlic diet, he tells Ness to come back later on his own. Ness then returns home and goes back to sleep.
Later that night, Ness is awaken again, this time from knockings at the door. As Ness checks the door, he finds out Pokey. Pokey came to Ness to beg for his help because he lost sight of Picky. After Ness agrees to come. Ness' mother then suggests Ness to bring King along and change into his clothes. Tracy then tells him to come to her room for a Cracked Bat. Once back downstairs, Ness is about to leave with Pokey and King but King doesn't react. Pokey remarks how King seems to be dead but Tracy tells Ness he should go for now and she'll explain later. However, before they leave, the phone rings. Ness pick it up to find out it's his father. His father proceeds saying a long speech that seems to repeat itself and mixes himself up, scaring Ness in the process. Once his dad hangs out, he mistakes Ness for Tracy. Ness then finally leave the house, heading toward the hill. Atop the hill, they spot Picky sleeping next to the meteorite. As Picky joins Ness and Pokey, they pass by the meteorite until they hear a buzzing noise. Buzz Buzz appears and explains what happens in the future and the prophecy of the Apple of Enlightment. He then tells Ness is the leader of a group that will defeat Giygas. Buzz Buzz then comes along the group who are heading back down. However, on their way, they are intercepted by Starman Jr. While Buzz Buzz does all the work, Ness puts on the Auto-Fight so he can catch some rest. After Starmen Jr. is defeated, they return to Pokey and Picky's house where their parents are waiting for them. As Pokey and Picky are punished and their father tells Ness to leave, Buzz Buzz gets smashed by Lardna Minch, the mother of the two. In his dying breath, he attempts to explain about the Sound Stone but Ness takes it and leaves Buzz Buzz behind. As the sun rise, Ness decides to check on Lier X. Agerate, thus ending the flashback.
As Ness finishes telling the story, he realizes it took to long and they have to stop. The actors then start speaking out of character as they leave the stage.
