Synopsis
The episode begins with the policemen letting Ness through the road to Twoson. As he arrives in Twoson, he visits the local Bike shop. After finding out all the bikes for sales and for rents are gone, he is given a demo version for free. As he rides his new bike, he is assaulted by a hippie, stealing Ness' bike claiming it was to stop the war.
As he walks around, he arrives in Burglin Park, he is once again assaulted, this time by Everdred. After being defeated, Everdred invites Ness inside and explains to him to come back to him with Paula, saying Ness doesn't understand why now but he will later.
Ness then goes to the Polestar Preschool, knowing about Paula's family from MySpace. He discovers that Paula has been kidnapped, much to his father's chagrin. Once outside again, he notices signs saying Apple Kid and Orange Kid. He decides to visit Apple Kid. Apple Kid crazed out, costing Ness an hamburger and 200 dollars. However, Apple Kid says that in exchange of the food and money, maybe his inventions will be able to help Ness in the future. Ness agrees, thinking it might even happen on the next episode, leaving Apple Kid confused.
Cultural References
- "I need your bike... to stop the war!" is a nod to Speak's 2003 hit song "Stop The War". The song was running joke in Stephen's dorm room, and the song and joke eventually found itself onto the Radio PSI scene, particular Ben's show. Talk of "stopping the war" is also related to Stephen's college, SCAD, where the art students claim their work was created to "help stop the war".
