Name
A rephrasing of Paula's line, "No you retard, it's a Hand-Aid!" after Everdred's reaction to the hand-aid. The hand-aid was given to Everdred due to his painful and embarrassing loss to Paula in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Synopsis
Ness and Paula begins the exploration of the cave. Paula shows up her PSI powers to Ness but gets defeated by a bat. Ness returns to the village and goes to the local hospital to revive Paula. She then explains Ness that she is currently at a low level and needs experience points to get better. They then attempt to get through the cave again but Paula would end up dying and Ness had to return to the hospital. This cycle keeps going until the 4th time when Paula dies right next to the shiny spot. Ness, losing patience, decides to finish the job on his own. As he reaches the shiny spot, the guardian of the second "Your Sanctuary" location, Mondo Mole, asks him why there is only one of them. As Ness explains how Paula kept dying on the way there, Mondo Mole feels sorry for him as he remembers his frustrations when he was playing Final Fantasy X and Yuna kept dying all the time when he played. Sympathizing with Ness, Mondo Mole surrenders access to the Lilliput Steps without a fight.
As the Sound Stone records the melody of the sanctuary, the Lilliput Steps' power restores Paula back to life. Realizing that she is not at the hospital and that Ness has actually continued without her, she enters in a fury and leaves, heading back to Twoson. Ness attempts to apologize as she follows but as they venture through the Peaceful Rest Valley, Paula gets killed by a Territorial Oak that exploded. As she is revived in the Twoson hospital, she calms down and agrees to go with Ness again.
They then headed to Paula's home. Paula mets up with her mom and Rosie rewards Ness with a Hand-Aid. After Ness expressed some dissatisfaction from doing all this work for an homemade Band-Aid, she then offers him some steak. After they leave the preschool, they visit Everdred. Everdred seems delighted to see Paula and tells Ness he has to leave for a moment as he had something to do with Paula alone. Ness waits outside until he hears some disturbing speeches. He then busts back inside only to see Everdred and Paula battling in Super Smash Brothers Melee just in time to see Paula defeating Everdred. As promised, Everdred gives away $10,000 because of his defeat. He then invites Ness and Paula to use that money to see the Runaway Five show.
