The Early Days
Muhammad's GREAT Movie --- Gangsters Paradise

Muhammad's GREAT Movie
Back in 2003, Muhammad was not signed up for camp, and so he was very bored during the summer. He had a web camera with him, and decided to make a short parody of multiple aspects of entertainment that he enjoyed. The most memorable scene would be his small rant about how the Animatrix is awesome. This video was completed June 27, 2003, and started Muhammad on his path to making videos.

He did not pick the camera up again until 2006, when the school made him do an Algebra project. While the other kids strove to make a video about Algebra, Muhammad went a different route to make a video that was more entertaining featuring a fight scene. This video was Bob in Haba. Although the other students harshly disliked his creation, the teacher found potential and urged Muhammad to continue making videos. In the beginning of his freshman year of high school, Matt decided to film everyday life at lunch for use in his digital video class. The result was Gangsters Paradise. The people Muhammad hanged out with enjoyed the experience and wanted to make more videos. From this, zelakzanai Videos formed.

Semi-Organized Chaos
The Broom Game --- Eight Melodies + Eight Melodies Redux + Sound Stone

The School Swimming Pool
The first endeavours of this video group were comedic moments of life that happened during lunch, much like Gangsters Paradise. Of these, the most memorable was The School Swimming Pool, which was so controversial at the school that the principal requested the video be taken offline, and everybody involved in the production was given a detention for their behavior. Muhammad, using logic and his quick mouth, was able to avoid further punishment for himself and for his comrades.

After that, the random events did not stand out as much. Videos like Crazy School were not up to the same level as The School Swimming Pool. In hindsight, nobody knew what they were doing or how to make a quality video. We only knew how to film crazy events at random times. But the crazy events started to die down and a depression began to form for the community. During this, one video lit up, and that was Ness VS Overzealous Cop. zelakzanai Videos began to realize the potential of fan videos, or at least Muhammad did. After the depression, the videos began to gain better quality.

Sumo Champions
Matt's third Digital Video project was to be a movie with a mystery genre. He enlisted the help of Muhammad and Sean as actors. Although the execution of this video was off, it was the first video with a script behind it. Taking ideas from this experience and merging them with the random ideas of old, zelakzanai Videos successfully made a video that redefined their works; Sumo Champions. Sumo Champions had a plot, had great execution, had great music, and ended up brightening the outlook of the community towards videos. This era was full of bad videos, but they slowly became organized, hence the name.

Improving Clarity
StarTropics --- Headsets are for Poos 1

StarTropics
This age marks the acquisition of a new video camera for zelakzanai Videos. The majority of the previous works were filmed with a digital camera, not a legit video camera. The first legit filming was Jedi Versus Sith. However, due to difficulties in editing, Muhammad running out of hard drive space, and the uninterest of the other members, that video was deleted in its work-in-progress form. Instead, the first production was the original StarTropics. While not good, it was a learning experience on how to make videos with this new camera.

zelakzanai Videos hit it big with their second EarthBound fan video, Enter the Starman. Featuring a half-naked guy wrapped in aluminium foil, bad special effects, and overall hilarity, this video became one of the first productions that recieved recognition. Jedi Versus Sith eventually did get a release although nobody in the group enjoyed it except for maybe three people. Filming for the new Island Adventure series started to take place in this era as well. The big news for zelakzanai Videos was Muhammad's enrollment in the Digital Video class at his school, which changed his perception of how to make a video.

Interview of a Teacher
In the Digital Video class, Muhammad learned from his more professional classmates about many different aspects in filmography. Of the five works he produced, only one was lacking. His one-minute short, Portrait, went well. His music video, 99 Luftballoons (which is spelt incorrectly), went incredibly. His interview, Interview of a Teacher, was successful. His documentary, The Guitar Hero, was the lacking video. His final, Black Hat Hacker, was a success.

The videos started to look more aesthetic as well, especially with productions like Black Hat Hacker and Nyuu Maple Leaf Rag, which took editing to a new level for zelakzanai Videos. Also, episode one of his StarTropics series was released, which was a grand success. Things began to look up for this small video group. Their videos were improving and were becomming more beautiful with each new production. That is why this era is called what it is.
