About this video...

Public since February 8th, 2009.

Rhinestone Cowboy was a music video project that Dan Settembrini created for his Intro to Video class at SCAD. After the long and drawn out process of choosing a song (other finalists included artists like Jason Mraz, Rhett and Link, and the Weakerthans), Dan decided on the Glen Campbell classic. He enlisted Stephen Georg to lip sync the song... and make a fool of himself in public.

After the two hour shoot, Dan quickly edited the video and uploaded it to YouTube, where it was instantly rejected due to copyright issues. Annoyed, he turned to Vimeo, dissatisfied with the thought of being unable to gain subscribers.

Rhinestone Cowboy was shot entirely in the downtown area of Savannah, Georgia, near the Savannah College of Art and Design.

This video was shot entirely with the Canon HV20 and edited on Final Cut Pro 6 software.
